This academic year the staff at Alston have received the following training:
- Quality First Teaching of SEND pupils in class - September 2023.
- Autism Awareness Level 1 January 2024
All teaching assistants have received a day's training on Autism.
Staff in our communication and interaction hub have received training on:-
- Colourful Semantics
- Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
- Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Support (SCERTS)
