School Day

School Times

Monday to Friday: The school day starts at 8.35am and finishes at 3.15pm.

Registration is from 8.50am to 9am.

Breakfast Club

At the beginning of the day parents are encouraged to bring their children to our Breakfast Club which runs between 8am to 8.40am. There is no charge for this breakfast and all children are welcome. Children need to be at Breakfast Club between 8am - 8.10am after which the doors are closed.  All children are supervised by members of staff. Once children have eaten their breakfast, our sports staff take the children into the playground/hall where a variety of physical activities take place.

Monday:                     Years 1-6    9.05am - 9.25am

Tuesday:                    Years 1-3 Star of the Week Assembly 9.05am - 9.25am

Wednesday:               Years 4-6 Star of the Week Assembly 9.05am - 9.25am

Friday:                       Year group Assembly 9am - 9.30am

Morning Playtimes

Year 1 - 10.15am - 10.30am

Year 2 - 10.30am - 10.45am

Years 3 & 4 - 10.50am - 11.05am

Years 5 & 6 - 11.10am - 11.25am

Lunchtimes

Reception - 11.30am - 12.30pm

Year 1 & 2 - 12pm - 1.00pm

Year 3 & 4 - 12.30pm - 1.30pm

Year 5 & 6 - 12.45pm - 1.45pm

Afternoon Playtimes

KS1 2.15pm - 2.30pm

Year 3 will only have a break in the Autumn Term from 2.15pm - 2.30pm.

There is no afternoon playtime for KS2

Before & After Clubs

Alston Primary School offers a wide variety of before and after school clubs including Football.  Most clubs are free of charge.
