School Times

Monday to Thursday: The school day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3.30pm.

Friday: The school day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 12.30pm.  

Registration is from 8.50am to 9.00am.

Breakfast Club

At the beginning of the day parents are encouraged to bring their children to our Breakfast Club which runs between 8.00am to 8.40am. There is no charge for this breakfast and all children are welcome. Children need to be at Breakfast Club between 8.00am - 8.10am after which the doors are closed.  All children are supervised by members of staff. Once children have eaten their breakfast, our sports staff take the children into the playground/hall where a variety of physical activities take place.

Monday:                     Years 1-6    9.05am-9.25am

Tuesday:                    Years 1-3 Star of the Week Assembly 9.05am-9.25am (all parents welcome)

Wednesday:               Years 4-6 Star of the Week Assembly 9.05am-9.25am (all parents welcome)

Friday:                       Whole school assembly 9.00am-9.30am

Morning Playtimes

KS1 have morning break from 10.15am—10.30am

Years 3 and 4 have morning break from 10:35am-10.50am

KS2 have morning break from 11.10am-11.25am

Lunchtimes

Children in Reception have lunch from 11.30am -12.30pm

Children in Y1-Y2 have lunch from 12.00noon - 1.00pm

Children in Y3-Y4 have lunch from 12.30pm - 1.30pm

Children in Y5 -Y6 have lunch from 12.45pm - 1.45pm

Afternoon Playtimes

KS1 have afternoon break from 2.15pm-2.30pm

Year 3 will only have a break in the Autumn Term from 2.15pm - 2.30pm.

There is no playtime for KS2

Before & After Clubs

Alston Primary School offers a wide variety of before and after school clubs including Football.  Most clubs are free of charge.  Please see the 'Sports News' under 'News and Events' section for the timetable listing the after school clubs which are offered for this term.
