School Governors


Role of the Board of Governors
The Governing Body of a school is responsible for ensuring that it is run to promote pupil achievement.

Its duties include:

  • Setting strategic direction, policies and objectives
  • The school budget
  • Reviewing progress against the school's budget and objectives
  • Appointing, challenging and supporting the Head Teacher

The Governing Body is made up of:

  • Trust Governors
  • Staff representatives
  • Co-opted Governors (appointed by Governing body)
  • Parent Governors (elected by parents)

The governors can be contacted at anytime via a sealed letter to the office which will be handed to Chair of Governors, Mrs Gaynor Lawson-Mills.
