Alston Primary School, an academy with Leigh Trust are proud to promote an exciting opportunity that has arisen at our school. We are looking to appoint an experienced teacher who has high expectations, of themselves and their pupils, and has the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils through quality teaching and creative learning experiences.

 

We are an inclusive school that places great importance on the development and success of all children.  The school has very high expectations and standards of behaviour and has effective strategies in place to engage children before, during and after the school day.  The school has a number of strong partnerships with external agencies and an important role within the community.

 

The post will involve co-ordinating and taking a lead role in sharing and developing good practice and raising attainment.  The post will provide an excellent opportunity for further professional development.

An experienced Early Years Foundation Stage teacher to teach in the Nursery

(part time – mornings only)

The children, staff and Governors of this three form entry School wish to appoint an experienced Early Years Foundation Stage teacher to teach in the Nursery.

 

We are seeking a Nursery Teacher who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed to delivering outstanding practice.

 

You will have:

  • High ambitions for yourself and a commitment to provide every child with the best possible start in life
  • The skills of an excellent, creative, successful classroom practitioner with a dedication and determination to secure good and better progress and raise attainment for all children
  • A good knowledge of how young children learn and develop
  • The ability to work as part of a team to plan, teach and assess effectively for the next step’s in children’s learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to developing and maintaining close links within the whole community
  • A flexible approach to challenge and change

    Romanian Speaking Teaching Assistant

Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification

          32.5 hours per week, term time only

Scale 2 - £18,065 -19,945 pro rata

 

To start January 2021

 

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant who

  • Can speak Romanian and English fluently.
  • Already holds a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent and has a proven track record of contributing to the raising of standards, in a primary school.
  • Has an ability to work collaboratively with all staff.
  • Will be able to inspire, challenge and motivate all children to achieve.
  • Has a commitment to working strategically and flexibly as part of a team to improve standards of teaching and learning.
  • Have the confidence, skills and abilities to lead and manage interventions throughout the school.
  • Be a positive role model in school.
  • Is able to work with pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis.
  • Has experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.
  • Has experience of assessing pupils English/Romanian language ability/acquisition.
