Music

At Alston, children will develop a deep understanding and appreciation of music through listening, singing, playing, evaluating, analysing, and composing a variety of Music. Children will explore Music from a wide variety of historical periods and different traditions. They will develop curiosity for the subject, learn about significant Musicians from past and present. Children in Years 3, 4 and 5 will engage in quality instrumental lessons delivered by experts in this field. Children in Year 5 and 6 have the opportunity to continue this as an elective lesson weekly.
