Children had a wonderful day dressing up in sports clothes. They learnt about healthy eating and about where water comes from. They also had 15 minute exercise session and a relax kids session to help keep their minds relaxed.

LO: To understand the role of money in my life(PHSE)
2B learnt about money and how important it is to buy things. Then they bought 5 items but unfortunately they couldn't afford all the items so they had to cross two items off their list. They had to discuss and explain their reasons.

LO-To Practise ball skills (PE)
Children practised ball skills in a competition. They also learnt how to compete in teams. Well done 2B for supporting your class mates. This also links into the children rights-Article 31 (Leisure, play and culture): Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities.

Maths day challenge
Children worked in mixed ability group to solve a problem using their addition skills. They also developed their reasoning by answering open ended questions.
Maths Day timestable challenge winner
Children went on a minibeast hunt and found lots of creepy crawlies. They created a tally and bar graph.
LO-To use IPADs to research information
Year 2 have been learning about minibeasts. This week they have used IPADs to research about ladybirds and write a non-chronological report. Well done Year 2.
Animal Person visit
The children had a visit from the animal lady. They handled minibeasts and discussed about habitat, food and life-cycle.
Children learn about road safety, fire safety and internet safety through assemblies, role-play and stories.
