Today, one child from each class in Years 1-6 had the opportunity to visit the local library. We were able to look at various books in the children's section - we learnt an interesting fact about a mummy that lived 2500 years ago! We also enjoyed the workshop involving a fantastic story about friendship and an activity that involved making a recipe for a good friend. We created fantastic recipes using wow words to describe our friends - we can't wait to share them!
Comments some of the children made:
"That was fun!" Isaia
"It was funny when he went boo!" Talha
"That was nice." Urooj
Every month we will celebrate an Author and their contribution to the children's learning. We have time available for the children to visit the Library during lunch times. During this time they can: choose a book written by the author, choose an activity or write a book review. We would love to know what the children think of the author, the writing style and the plot of the story!
Welcome to our Library page!
Here you can find updates on our Author of the month, activities to do at home and the lovely things we do in school for Reading. Enjoy!
