Welcome to 4S

 

We would like to welcome children and parents from 4S to our class page. This will be updated regularly with work that has been completed by the class or any information we need to share with you. We are looking forward to having a super year in year 4 with lots of exciting things to come. Please check this page to keep up to date with the children's learning.

Here is some important information that you will need:

  • 4S will have P.E every Wednesday
  • Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be returned by Wednesday.
  • Reading books will be changed weekly.

Dhol!

Some of us will get a chance to learn to play to dhol this half term.  It's going to get very loud!  Mr Singh will be our

Dhol teacher.

Math's Day

It's great to see everyone after a relaxing break.  On Thursday, we enjoyed carrying out Math's investigations, making games with really hard questions and some of us even made pizza boxes.  We had so much fun and learnt a few things along the way too!

Finally our Robots!

We have finally finished our robots!  Can you see the see the eyes light up?  They were made with completed circuits.  Some were are little tricky and didn't quite work as well as we expected! 

 

Robots in DT and Science

We are preparing our robots to have eyes that light up!  As you can see we are not quite finished!  We will be making circuits and switches that light up the robot's eyes.  Tune in to see our finished designs!

Birmingham City Mission Assembly

7/12/15

 

Birmingham City Mission came to Alston School and showed us an alternative nativity with stars.  They discussed the importance of the three wise men at the birth of baby Jesus.  They also discussed the importance of stars.

Times Table Champion of the Week

This week our champion won with a respectable time of 22.2 seconds to recite the 4x table.
